Easter 2014

My husband and I host Easter dinner every year.  After the morning activities have slowed down, family members (my mom, my dad, my sister, my brother-in-law, my niece, and my uncle) all begin to show up at the house.

It is a fun holiday to host.

The afternoon starts out with lots of color ...

Easter VIII
Center Piece won during the Egg hunt.

Easter
Skinny vase filled with yummy candy!

and hidden treats.

Easter VI
Monkey has made it through two Easters now.

Then the egg hunts begin...

Easter IV
Oh boy!  An Egg Hunt!

Easter V
She found eggs for everyone.  Good thing she didn't mind when they kept her uncovered treasures.

And of course...there is plenty of family together time...

Easter III
Little one sharing a ring pop she found in one of her eggs.

Easter II
Cheese Faces

Note, this last pictures cracks me up...as it is the result of my niece learning the word "cheese".  She loves when everyone repeats the word after her.  I'm already preparing myself for a long future of cheese face photos.

Wordless (Almost) Wednesday - Nitters the Paranoid

The last Wordless Wednesday featured Maxwell the Adorable, so this week I give you Nitters the Paranoid, my sister's usually sweet and always high strung tabby cat.  Constantly on the lookout, he will be the first to spot any trouble...or movement...or tv channel being changed....

Nitters the Paranoid

He is quite the handsome boy.  Now, if only she could get him to relax a little.  At my house we have cat aromatherapy plug ins...but their house is a bit too big for that to be effective.   Maybe you can help.  Those of you with pets...what do you do to help your furry/scaly/feathery friends relax?
